like lady gaga threw up
the twinkiest club in northeastern ohio. worst music watered down drinks and dangerous parking lot. this is real old school like a 70s gay dive. skip skip skip it.
Not the best
I used to go here a lot during my youth but looking back at it, it's just a place for the younger youth who are just coming out. Full of twinky boys and stereotypical playlists.
The only real Dance club in Akron
I agree that this place is not the best. It is overrun by twinkies and snobby little boys. But I still go here sometimes when I am in the mood to dance and say fuckem'. I am a big hairy bear and love to see some of their expressions when I am lettin loose on the dance floor. Go here if you wanna dance and can ignore the boys who look more like girls.
Thank goodness I'm not a twink
Seen better days, no doubt. The classic college twink hangout, with old men to leer at them. More masculine men would not be could dead in this place. The surrounding area is very seedy, on the edge of downtown in an isolated spot. The parking lot is also dangerous in appearance, as the surroundings are not well lighted and the lot leads into the woods down an alley from the club. Notorious, at least it used to be, for bathroom sex, but the "men" are so young-looking, I wouldn't even check it out. The music sucks big time. The drinks are blah. And the drag shows are stupid. No reason to go ever again.
The Queen of Akron, as far as Queens Go
I went to college in Akron some years ago, and everyone loved the Innerbelt. Lines were long to get in, the place was packed, and bartenders were fun. Gays, straights, hustlers, and everyone in between partied til the wee hours. Nowadays, things are different. Last time I went, girls were using the men's room, which I thought was inappropriate, especially since I needed to use the facilities and probably would not be welcome in the women's room. Guys used to hook up in the restroom- I guess that no longer occurs with straight college girls around. Supposedly lesbians dominate, and I wouldn't be surprised, since lesbians usually take over bars once the gay male crowd decreases. I always thought the Innerbelt was a tad skeezy. When you're in your midtwenties, it was a fun place to go on the gay hunt. One of the best hook ups I ever had was with someone I met at the Belt. Things change. The seedier elements, that always were there, have taken more control of the scene. The area is also a little dicey at night, so go with friends if you go at all.
